Soft solder (tin-lead solder)

Soft solder contains approx. 57 % lead and 43 % tin by mass. There is a tin-rich eutectic between the lead-rich dendrites.

(The black dots are remaining diamond particles that are pressed into the soft material during polishing. Vibration polishing would provide a remedy here).
