Staked, highly corrosion-resistant martensitic cold working steel with very good ductility and a hardness of up to 60 HRC. Applications are in the field of spindle and ball bearings in aeronautics and mechanical engineering. Mainly Cr2N precipitates have formed in the martensitic microstructure.

We have also successfully etched this high-chromium material onto former austenite grain boundaries using a slightly modified version of our PAG QT².
