The microstructure is in the normalised condition and consists of ferrite with approx. 20% pearlite. The C-content may be max. 0.2%. The minimum yield strength is 355 MPa in the smallest product thickness, the minimum notched impact strength (J2) is 27 Joule at -20 °C. The old designations were S355J2G3 or St 52-3 N.
