1.7335 | 13CrMo4-5 laser welded

This alloyed pressure vessel steel was laser welded. The weld area was preheated by a graphite bush. A ledeburitic layer was formed by diffusion (see hardness curve). Below the ledeburitic layer, there is martensite with a lot of retained austenite. In the transition zone, all microstructures are present (martensite, bainite, pearlite and ferrite).
