This near-eutectic aluminum casting alloy has the following mechanical properties in sand casting:
Without heat treatment:
Rp0.2 = 80 MPa; Rm = 160 MPa; A > 1%, 50 HBW 2.5/62.5
T6 heat treatment:
Rp0.2 = 200 MPa; Rm = 240 MPa; A > 1%, 75 HBW 2.5/62.5
The eutectic AlSi phase is refined.
