This quenched and tempered cold work steel is in the highly tempered condition. The hardness is 350 HV1. According to the tempering diagram, a temperature of approx. 620 °C is required for this. The addition of sulphur facilitates machining. Typical applications are mould and frame plates for die and injection moulding tools.
