Unetched, blowholes and dross cannot be overlooked. Delta ferrite stands out in dark grey, in which a needle-like precipitate is still present. It consists of aluminium nitride (AlN).
The basic structure consists of austenite and delta ferrite. The latter contains more chromium and molybdenum (ferrite-stabilising elements) than austenite, but less nickel.
The hardness is 164 HV0.5.
