Foreign material inclusions in cable sheathings

Defects that were already macroscopically visible were characterized using EDX analysis. EDX analysis is not always the first choice when examining plastics. In the present case, however, talcum inclusions (hydrated magnesium silicate) could be detected in a simple and fast way.
