The micrographs show the microstructure of a centrifugally cast component. The main alloying elements of this Co-based alloy are 33% Cr and 16% W. The hardness is 560 HV5. The area fraction of the dark interdendritic eutectic (carbide containing, hard) compared to the light dendritic solid solution (austenite, relatively soft) is about 49%.
