Numeric designation5.3201 Schwingbruch und Wabenbruch
Chemical designationEN-GJS-600-3
StateVibration fracture and ductile fracture

In pearlitic cast iron grades, fatigue striations are only very rarely detectable, because the fine cementite lamellae of the pearlite determine the fracture pattern. The nodular graphite cast iron here has a pearlitic matrix, but ferrite seams around the graphite spheres, in which fatigue striation can be seen. The ductile residual violent fracture is clearly different from this.
