Pearlitic cast iron with lamellar graphite. The micrographs show a spot with phosphide eutectic (steadite) in usual formation during slow solidification. The very hard steaditic phase solidifies at 952 °C and is therefore arranged interdendritically. A network-like phosphide arrangement is undesirable (except for wear-resistant cast iron).
