The material 2.4819 (Alloy C-276 or Hastelloy® C-276) is a nickel-chromium-molybdenum-tungsten alloy,
which has a very high corrosion resistance to aqueous media (e.g. hypochlorites).
Here you can see the normal face-centred cubic structure with twins.
The weld seam was created by laser in a vacuum (LaVa-X).

Etching was done in 32% hydrochloric acid, into which 30% hydrogen peroxide was dripped until an etching attack was visible.
